About AYEM Foundation
AYEM Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2021 in memory of the Late Mr. Ayang Ekpor Obeten (1945-2007). We are committed to supporting underprivileged children and youths by harnessing their potential through football and other talents. Our mission is to identify raw football ability, nurture it with guidance and opportunity, and provide the practical support young people need to grow-on and off the pitch. By investing in skills, confidence, and discipline, we aim to inspire, empower, and uplift the next generation while creating positive, lasting impact in our communities.

Our Mission
  • Identifying Talent: We strive to scout and recognise budding football talent in underprivileged communities, schools, and local clubs, focusing on children who may not have access to traditional pathways. 

  • Development through Football: Although we intend to incorporate other skill acquisition programmes, we are currently utilizing football as a tool for character development, community bonding, teamwork, and discipline, we aim to instil essential life skills that extend beyond the football field. 

  • Financial Support: Through prizes and awards, we provide financial assistance for education, training, and equipment, ensuring that talented youngsters have the resources needed to pursue their dreams in football while maintaining a balance with their education.

  • Mentorship Programs: Our foundation emphasizes the importance of discipline, mentorship, pairing talented individuals with experienced coaches, former players, and mentors who guide them through their football journey and personal development. 

  • Community Engagement: AYEM Foundation actively engages with communities to foster a sense of unity, pride, and support for the children and youths. We organize events, tournaments, and outreach programmes to promote the benefits of sports in personal growth.
